Perfect Paleo Ranch Dressing


The Maxwell's Mad Homemade Ranch!

Ever on the quest for that perfect condiment, I bring you my homemade ranch dressing! After searching the web for a great recipe (I mean, why re-invent the wheel, right? Everything under the sun has been hacked for paleo these days!), I finally had to do the Mad Recipe Meld! and using bits from several different recipes, perfected my own. This recipe is dairy free, junk free, and full of flavor!

1 cup homemade olive oil mayo (recipe from The Clothes Make The Girl)
1 cup full fat canned coconut milk (whipped with a whisk or in food processor)
1 T + 1t dried chives
2 t dried dill
1 t dried parsley
1 t salt (I used pink salt)
1 t fresh cracked black pepper
1 small head of fresh garlic, minced (about 2 tsp)
pinch of cayenne pepper
1 T lemon juice


1. Place your herbs and spices in the bottom of a bowl and pinch with your fingers to break up the herbs a bit.

2. Add the mayo and coconut milk and whisk to combine. Slowly stream in lemon juice, whisking to combine.

3. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

4. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator!

It has been ages since I have posted anything personal. This blog at one point had started to transform into a review/giveaway blog with a lean towards family and earth friendly products. Well, family life gets busy and blogs fall off, as mine did.

During this hiatus, one of the biggest changes in my life has been my transition to a Whole Food Lifestyle. Think paleo, primal, Weston A. Price, local, sustainable - along those lines. And now I would like to perhaps resurrect this blog - but with a focus more on healthy lifestyle.

I hope to share more of my journey of wellness, along with recipes, tips, and more. Keep your eyes open for some reviews of my favorite books and resources. -Heidi
